Using the research of the Spring 2021 Task Force as a foundation, the Summer 2021 Task Force was charged with producing a series of concrete “first steps,” particularly aimed at the city government, for beginning a truth-telling process in Los Angeles. In addition to the research from the spring, the Summer 2021 recommendations and guiding principles flow from thirty-eight interviews carried out by task force members.
